Lorsque vous sélectionnez une position ou un thème (ouvertures, blitz,…), une nouvelle page apparaît. Les pions de la position (ou de la première position du thème) sont positionnés sur le board, les dés à jouer sont affichés. Vous avez les pions noirs (disons les plus foncés).
Chaque position a été évaluée par eXtreme Gammon, logiciel considéré comme le meilleur des logiciels de backgammon. basé sur des réseaux neuronaux.
Les 5 meilleurs coups de XG (eXtreme Gammon) sont présentés. La qualité du coup est nommé équité.
Lorsque vous aurez joué, votre solution sera comparée aux solutions de XG en terme de différence d’équité par rapport au meilleur coup XG :
Si la différence d’équité est < 0,02, vous êtes au top
Si la différence est > 0.02 et < à 0.08, vous avez commis une erreur.
Si la différence est > 0.08, il s’agit d’une bévue (un blunder)
Pour chaque position, il est proposé une analyse de la solution. On parle de stratégie, de tactiques de jeu et bien souvent tout simplement de logique. Dans la plupart des cas, la solution commentée est le meilleur coup évalué par XG Gammon. Mais parfois une solution plus évoluée est proposée dans l’analyse.
En survolant vos pions, vous pouvez voir les possibilités de déplacement des pions en fonction de la valeur des dés. Pour inverser l’ordre des dés, cliquez sur un dé. Cliquez sur les pions pour effectuer les déplacements. Lorsque vos déplacements son terminés, vous pouvez soumettre votre jeu qui sera comparé aux solutions eXtreme Gammon. A tout moment, vous pouvez revenir en arrière et effectuer de nouveaux déplacements.
